Katelyn Tod, known as Kate to her friends, lives a high-powered life of intrigue as an assassin for the CIA. It's a glamorous life, traveling the world, living on the edge every day. Kate trades her glamorous, high-powered life for a small-town, odd-powered life, and the two collide in ways that make torture look like a spa day. Criminal plots meet local quirks in a hilarious series of mystery and misadventures.

I loved this book and can't wait for the next in the series. The casual tone was refreshing; here is a book that is written the way that I speak. The main character's bad luck with men and really just in general made her totally relatable. There were a handful of really funny parts - the description of the family cats was my favorite - that actually had me laughing out loud. Usually I switch back and forth between two or three books, but I read this one cover to cover today without stopping to read anything else. Great book!Product details

An amazing book. Relaxing and easy to read with romance, action, and family values. Would recommend it to anyone! Can't wait for the sequel!
The best part of the book centered around Judy, the cow. For the first 3/4 of the book, I could not stand the lead character's whining about getting no sex, should she have sex, should she jump just anyone blah, blah, blah. The obsession with sex was what? Not funny and not integral to the story. But, the cow and the brother/embalmer was funny.
Light, quick read. Enjoyed it and will most likely read a sequel if she writes one.
Wonderful. Funny, intriguing, original...a great novel. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.
